Falcons clean up

SASOL League national champions Palace Super Falcons won three of the six individual awards when the tournament ended in Bloemfontein on Sunday.

Gauteng's Falcons scored 31 goals without conceding in their six matches including a 6-0 stroll over the hapless Brazilians Ladies of Limpopo in the final.

As expected Falcons coach Jabu Mabaso scooped the coach of the tournament award, while speedy striker Martha "Gautrain" Mokoma walked away with the top goal-scorer accolade after scoring 11 goals in the competition.

Enterprising midfielder Tina Selepe was voted Diski Queen of the tournament.

Mabaso praised his players and the technical team and attributed the victory to hard work and commitment.

Cape Town Roses's Sisipho Ntulo was voted goalkeeper of the tournament, while Coastal United's Asiwe Mqwala won Most Promising Young Queen.
