Zuma divides the ANC, even at Tambo lecture

JACOB ZUMA

The theme of the OR Tambo lecture in Kagiso was supposed to be about unity. The reality, as expected by many of us, was confirmed when none of elected Gauteng ANC provincial executive members attended that factional event.

President Jacob Zuma used the event in the best way possible to discredit some comrades; he even labelled some as agents of the West.

He used the occasion to canvass for his former wife to be the next president of the ANC.

He said Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma was the person who raised the issue of a need for a "sunrise clause" when the "sunset clause" was discussed.

By supporting nuclear power is the confirmation of the public concerns about Zuma's long-standing agreement with the Russians.

We must brace ourselves for very chilling days leading to the December elective conference of the ANC. The gloves are now off.
