Pure evil

THE despicable incident that traumatised poor and disabled children at a care centre in Rustenburg should be condemned by right-thinking members of society.

THE despicable incident that traumatised poor and disabled children at a care centre in Rustenburg should be condemned by right-thinking members of society.

Nothing can justify the conduct of the disgruntled Impala Platinum Mine workers, who threatened to break down Ntshalleng le Bana, a centre in an RDP house that recently got a face lift from the mine.

They claimed the mine used money that should have been used to pay their salaries to renovate the RDP house donated by a Good Samaritan.

Impala renovated the centre after Sowetan published a story about its imminent closure due to shortage of funds.

Disabled children are the most vulnerable in society and need assistance from the likes of Impala. The mineworkers' attempt to undermine such efforts is evil.
