The series of We Are AfricaFilm Festivals wrapped up on Saturday in Kimberley, Northern Cape.
The festivals started in the Limpopo towns of Polokwane and Thohoyandou as part of the Africa Month celebrations under the auspices of the Department of Arts and Culture.
The auditorium at Mayibuye Centre in Galeshewe was packed with the young and old sampling local blockbusters such as Tell Me Sweet Something, Happiness Is A Four Letter Word and Ayanda.
Actor and author Zane Meas presented his film, Father, and spoke about the importance of a father figure in the life of children.
Actor and producer Wandile Molebatsi screened his film Hear Me Move and spoke about career options, while The Road lead man Solomon Sebothoma also brought his star power to the event.
For some revellers, this was a chance to meet their favourite film and television stars as a scramble for selfies ensued at the end of the screenings.
