A man was arrested for being in possession of illegal gambling machines‚ SAPS Western Cape said on Tuesday.
Gambling Board inspectors embarked on an authorised search when they discovered a warehouse in which they found gambling machines.
“A preliminary investigation‚ by the Gambling Board inspectors revealed and identified gambling machines were illegally on the premises‚” the SAPS said.
They found 27 illegal gambling machines‚ valued at R405‚000‚ which were confiscated.
They found that the owner did not have a licence to operate or manufacture the machines. The owner‚ a 56-year-old man‚ was arrested.
