Two people were killed and five were injured when a bakkie rolled off the N7 near Dunoon in the Western Cape on Saturday, ER24 paramedics said.
ER24 spokesperson Russel Meiring said when paramedics arrived at the scene found a 30-year-old woman’s body and a girl, 9, lying a few metres away from the bakkie.
“Both had diminishing signs of life… Unfortunately, after some time, both patients succumbed to their fatal injuries. Nothing more could be done and they were declared dead on scene.”
Meiring said five patients, including a child, suffered moderate injuries.
Patients were sent to the hospital for further treatment.
