Moments leading to Flabba Habedi's death

Murder accused Sindisiwe Manqele has given account on what happened moments before she stabbed and killed her long time boyfriend Nkululeko 'Flabba' Habedi.

Moments leading to Flabba's death

Manqele said that when they got home she locked herself in Flabba's bedroom because she did not want to speak to him.

She says that Flabba banged the door and window commanding her to open while shouting that she cannot lock him out of his own room.

She says that when she finally opened, Flabba pushed the door with a lot of force causing her to fall on the floor.

According to Manqele, Flabba was carrying a knife, the same knife that was identified as the weapon that was eventually used to stab him.

She says that Flabba accused her of being disrespectful towards him because of his financial situation - meanwhile she just kept quiet during his outrage - in which he kept referring to her a b*tch - as he was pacing up and down with a knife in his hand.

She says that she shouted that he was crazy because he cannot call her a b*tch because another guy gave her a compliment.

They both sat down and started talking - Flabba said to Manqele "chicks like you don't date guys like me".

"I told him he was crazy because I've been dating him since I was 17. He grabbed me by the jaw" with the knife in his left hand and said "you're beautiful neh?".

She then told him to leave her face as he was hurting her.

At this point, according to Manqele, Flabba spat in her face and locked her upper body with his left hand while shouting in her ear.

She says he then flipped and told her to get 'out of his f**ng house' and put the knife by the table next to the bed.

He then went to a couch in the room and started shoving Manqele's clothes in her bag while shouting 'get out of my house'.

She told him that if she leaves she would never come back. She then got up from the bed and started putting the rest of her belongings in her other bag.

As she was packing her other belongings, Flabba, according to Manqele's testimony, grabbed and threw her onto the bed.

Flabba then said to her "Where do you think you are going?"

He then started questioning her trip to Cape Town, which she responded by saying it had nothing to do with him.

Flabba allegedly accused her of going to Cape Town to be a prostitute.

"I told him I don't care what you think. If you think I went b*tch then it's fine"

Flabba then said: "That's why you didn't want to talk to me while you're in CT because you were with a man."

The court session has adjourned for lunch.
