Czech fugitive Radovan Krejcir's wife Katerina Krejcirova has been arrested at the Palm Ridge Magistrate's Court in Johannesburg, his lawyers said.
Krejcirova was held in connection with an allegedly stolen car found on the couple's Vaal property, Piet du Plessis said.
She was attending the bail application of her husband when she was escorted out of the court by four heavily armed police officials.
It was unclear which police station she was taken to.
Her husband was arrested in November on kidnapping and attempted murder charges.
