Three boys knocked down in Pheonix

"The boys required advance life support intervention and [were] rushed to hospital for the urgent medical care they required," said Steinmann.

Three boys were knocked down by a car in Phoenix, KwaZulu-Natal, on Wednesday, said paramedics.

Netcare 911 spokeswoman Santi Steinmann said paramedics found the boys, aged nine, 11 and 16 in critical conditions.

"The boys required advance life support intervention and [were] rushed to hospital for the urgent medical care they required," said Steinmann.

The cause of the accident was unknown.
