A man died and two were injured when they were struck by lightning on Robinson Road in Mayfair, Johannesburg, on Monday afternoon, said Netcare 911.
Paramedics arrived at the scene to find the man had already died, said Netcare 911 spokeswoman Santi Steinmann.
A second man was critically injured and the third sustained moderate injuries.
"The injured men were treated on scene before they were rushed to hospital for further medical care," she said.
