Woman tied up, house robbed

They went into the house on Tuesday and asked her for water to drink

A woman has been tied up and robbed at a house in Mqanduli, Eastern Cape police said on Wednesday.

One of the men was armed with a hammer, Major Zamukulungisa Jozana said.

"They went into the house on Tuesday and asked her for water to drink. Once in the house, they stuffed her mouth with a beret and tied her up."

The men made off with a DVD player and speakers. The woman suffered bruises on her arms, legs, and mouth. Jozana said no arrests had been made.
