THE SABC's acting chief operations officer, Hlaudi Motsoeneng, has been removed from his position with immediate effect.
In a surprise move the public broadcaster announced yesterday that "the SABC board has announced that Mr Hlaudi Motsoeneng will be released from his duties as acting COO . [he] will revert to his position as group executive: provinces."
SABC spokesman Kaizer Kganyago declined to provide specific reasons for the removal .
