Mom wants missing daughter 'out of sight'

THE 22-year-old woman who went missing for more than three weeks and later returned home has disappeared again.

Busisiwe Tshabalala, of Protea Glen, Soweto, went missing on November 27 and only returned "around December 17".

Her mother, Matshidiso, says she now wants her daughter to stay out of her sight and return to Qwa-Qwa in Free State, where they hail from.

Tshabalala says she struggled to get answers out of her daughter for the reason behind her disappearance after she had returned home recently.

"She came back during the third week of December and has hardly spent time with us. We have not had a chance to speak to her about what happened when she went missing," Tshabalala says.

What little information she had managed to get from her daughter, Tshabalala says, is far from convincing. "She told us that she and a friend met two guys at a local tavern who promised them jobs and took them to Pretoria. That was basically all she told me," Tshabalala says.

She says since Busisiwe disappeared again she has been waiting for her to come home so that she could send her packing.

"I last saw her on Christmas day. As soon as she gets home I'll send her straight home to Qwa-Qwa because she is not helping me at all. "She is not even helping me with her two children."

Police spokesperson Kay Makhubele says her family needs to have a few serious words with her.
