THREE members of the same family were killed in a weekend shack fire near Durbanville in Cape Town, city officials said yesterday.
Firefighters were called to the Fisantekraal informal settlement on Sunday morning, disaster management services spokesman Wilfred Solomons-Johannes said.
They found the bodies of a man, his wife and their daughter inside.
In another fire in the Melani informal settlement on the Cape Peninsula, six people were displaced when two shacks caught fire.
