AN ABSA ATM was blown up in Mecklenburg yesterday morning, Limpopo police said.
"It is reported eight suspects stormed the ATM at 5am and blew it up," Lieutenant Colonel Mohale Ramatseba said.
The robbers fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of money and sped off in two vehicles. Ramatseba said police were alerted and shooting later ensued between police and the robbers. The cars, later found abandoned, were stolen in Gauteng.
Ramatseba said anyone with information should contact Colonel Nare Mabotja on 084-451-7161 or Colonel Nengwekhulu on 082-523-3679.
