SOUTH Africa's premier decor show, Rooms on View 2010, starts today. The exhibition, which ends on Sunday, will take place at the Sandton Convention Centre in Johannesburg.

The show is in its 9th year and is showcasing the best South African decor and design.

According to Sumari Krige, managing director of Rooms on View. visitors will as usual have an opportunity to view the individual signatures of diverse and selected exhibitors.

Rooms on View embraces not only decorators and lifestyle merchants but the new names to look for in future.

Each exhibitor has to create a room setting in its entirety. This approach gives visitors to the show an idea of what is possible in their homes, what the latest trends are , what products are out there and how these can be incorporated into their lifestyles and homes.

"South Africa has a growing and diverse pool of design talent and Rooms on Views brings the best of this talent together under one roof," Krige says.

"South African design and decor has been recognised by the rest of the world and we are seeing more and more South Africans getting exposure on the international stage.

"2010 is SA's year and what better way to celebrate this than at Rooms on View, just before the World Cup."
