LIMPOPO Premier Cassel Mathale has warned contractors who do not finish government contracts that they will be blacklisted and will not receive government work in future.
Speaking at the government imbizo at Tshifulanana Stadium on Friday, Mathale answered community members' questions, including allegations that some RDP houses are badly built.
Allegations were made about contractors not finishing government projects.
Mathale said the government was planning drastic steps against all firms that did not complete contracts.
"If you are a businessman it doesn't matter whether you are a member of the ANC, Azapo or Cope," he said amid ululations.
"If you don't do government jobs in a fair manner we will blacklist you and you will not get any government job in future."
The premier said government departments were in the process of consolidating their databases.
This means that if a company is blacklisted by a municipality its name will be sent to all government departments.
Mathale and his cabinet listened to questions from the residents of Vhembe district municipality from the scarcity of water, bad roads, to lack of jobs and poor service delivery.
Rapson Rambuwani, a well-known musician affected by albinism represented disabled people at the imbizo.
He asked the government to build a house for a disabled parent with three children.
MEC for local government Soviet Lekganyane said the house would be built immediately and Rambiwani danced for joy at the news.
The premier and his cabinet visited community projects in the Tshifulanana area, beginning with a courtesy visit to the chief's kraal to salute local chief Calvin Nelwamondo.
