'Dancer's Daughter a tough nut to crack'

Dancer's Daughter will be "a tough nut to crack" says top Cape trainer Joey Ramsden.

Dancer's Daughter will be "a tough nut to crack" says top Cape trainer Joey Ramsden.

The bookies' favourite is competing in the R1million, Grade 1, Thoroughbred Breeders Association Paddock Stakes at Kenilworth on Saturday,

Ramsden has entered his classy Western Winter filly Nania in the prestigious race.

"Nania is in fabulous form. When she ran four lengths second to Dancer's Daughter in November she was coming back from a long break.

"She is now better than she has ever been but whether she is good enough to beat Dancer's Daughter we don't know.

"On the balance of form I think we have a good chance of beating the rest of the field."

The Ramsden yard has been in top form in recent months.

Whatever happens, with jockey Andrew Fortune also riding better than ever, Nania will definitely command respect in this important feature event.
