'Build political power'
ANC president Jacob Zuma yesterday confirmed what analysts have identified as the soft underbelly of former liberation movements that become governments: once in power they lose touch with the masses.
Speaking in Kampala, Uganda, Zuma said political organisations usually retreated into the background once liberation was attained.
He said most ceased to pay attention to political work and concentrated solely on governance. Yet organisational work remained key areas to strengthen a political party.
