The senior national team of Lesotho will be playing its 2010 Fifa World Cup and Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers at the Seisa Ramabodu Stadium in Bloemfontein because of renovations to their own ground in Maseru.
That means South Africans are in the enviable position of having two "national" sides to root for in the soccer showpieces which expose the best African players to football followers throughout the continent.
We are going to have the best of both worlds and, what's more, the African Soccer Television show, which screens on SABC Sport's Laduma programme on Sundays, is already laying the groundwork with highlights of the Mountain Kingdom's league games.
This week's highlights will be of the league game between bitter rivals Lesotho Defence Force and their counterparts from the Correctional Services, which saw both teams throw everything at each other, bar the kitchen sink, in an exciting goalless draw.
The teams from the law enforcement departments of that country's government could teach their South African counterparts a lesson or two in how to keep fit and represent your country at national level.
This week's highlights also feature various leagues across the continent with mouth-watering games on offer, as the 1-all draw between Olympique de Khourigba and KACM Kawkab de Marrakech, and Itihad Z Khemisset's narrow 1-0 win over Wydad Athletic Club Casablanca in the Moroccan League will attest.
In the Ivorian League FC Ouraghio edged ES Bingerville 2-1 while SOA and the high-riding Asec Mimosas were involved in a 0-0 stalemate.
The action concludes with the Egyptian League face-off between Al Ahly and Al Mahalla who refused to be intimidated by their opponents whom they held 0-0.
