Inspired by their splendid display against Orlando Pirates, Platinum Stars have issued a stern warning to Mamelodi Sundowns to brace themselves for war.
The two sides meet at Loftus tomorrow night in a 7.30pm kickoff game where the beleaguered Gordon Igesund, Downs' coach, is under tremendous pressure.
The pressure emanates after 'the Tycoons", who have hired former Downs' coaches Miquel Gamondi and Cavann Johnson to guide the club, played to a 1-1 draw with Pirates.
The once-feared Sundowns also came back with a similar result against Ajax Cape Town, but their supporters were clearly still not chuffed.
Igesund is feeling the heat after a string of poor results, which also include losing R4, 25 million to Kaizer Chiefs in the Telkom Knockout final.
"We sympathise with the technical staff of Sundowns but we need the results," said Thamaga Mokgophi, Stars' general manager.
Harris Choeu, Sundowns' manager, said: "We are hard at training now (yesterday) and everybody is looking forward to doing well against Stars."
In another match tomorrow at 7.30pm, Golden Arrows have a tricky assignment against SuperSport United at King Zwelithini Stadium.
