Metro FM DJ to inspire on TV

METRO FM's Sacred Space host and businesswoman Thami Ngubeni is taking her talent to television.

Ngubeni, who is also an author, is the latest celebrity to have her own show on DStv's channel 331, The Scarlet Lounge, which starts on June 27 on One Gospel at 9pm. It will focus on women and their daily challenges.

The Scarlet Lounge is an intimate show for women in which they settle down, clear their thoughts and renew their hearts.

The show encourages the viewers through praise and worship videos, Bible study and talks with worship leaders.

Songwriters, ministers or inspirational speakers will be added to inspire women.

Ngubeni says: "I hope The Scarlet Lounge will speak life, freedom and realisation to the women (and men) who will be a part of it."

Producer Dana Tsasandakis says: "The show is about freedom, forgiveness and peace. It's time for women to settle down, clear their thoughts and renew their minds."

Currently hosting The Sacred Space on Metro FM on Sunday between 6am and 9am, Ngubeni joined the station as a newsreader at a young age.

While studying in the US she hosted a show on The American Radio Network. She completed her studies in film and television at California University, Los Angeles.

Ngubeni wrote and co-published her first book, My Sacred Spaces in 2006
