The multi-award winner at this year’s Golden Globes, which scooped seven awards including for Best Motion Picture: Comedy or Drama, Best Director, Best Actor and Best Actress, La La Land dances dreamily into select Ster-Kinekor and Cinema Nouveau theatres from Friday, 27 January.
The city of stars shines bright in the original musical La La Land, as Mia, an aspiring actress (Emma Stone) and Sebastian, a dedicated jazz musician (Ryan Gosling), explore the joy and pain of pursuing their dreams in a city known for crushing hopes and breaking hearts. Set in modern day Los Angeles, this original musical film is written and directed by Golden Globe winner and Academy Award nominated writer/director Damien Chazelle.
