Somizi 'spills the tea' on why he and Bonang are no longer friends

Are you still recovering from last night’s jaw-dropping episode of Living the Dream with Somizi?

Well, if you missed it we are here to keep you updated. If you watched it, we are here to rehash all the Bonang Matheba and Somizi Mhlongo frenemies drama.

We finally found out why former BFFs Bonang and Somizi had a falling out and it was worth all the wait.

In a nutshell, once upon a time a girl and a boy were the best of friends. They were inseparable. They flooded our Instagram timelines with #FriendshipGoal snapshots. Then one day the friendship just collapsed like an avalanche. The avalanche came in the form of the girl falling medley in love with one infamous rapper.

Confused?

Let Somizi explain it for you in his own words after he had a run-in with Bonang at the South African Film and Televisiom Awards (SAFTAs) rehearsal event, following months of not seeing Bonang. Fortunately for us it was all documented on camera. Lights! Camera! Action!

“At this stage I hadn’t seen Bonang for like four months, we’d been friends for over five years and in my head, we were BFFs…”

“And then one morning I wake up and she’s not talking to me and I then hear from people that she unfollowed me on Twitter and on Instagram, hawu. The last time I had spoken to this person she was in Mauritius the night before telling me how much she misses me and then the next thing dololo.”

“All I hear is that she thinks or she was told that I told Zinhle about her relationship with AKA… but why? Why would I do that to her? I want the three of them, Zinhle, AKA and Bonang, to sit down and tell me who said that I said what. I’m too old for this sh***. People come in your life and leave for a reason”
