AT 25, Rorisang Thandekiso is a testimony that you can be in entertainment and still be a virgin.

She is at the prime of her career as a TV host and lead singer of a successful dance band Muzart and continues to honour the word of God with her body, mind and soul.

The former YoTV presenter and born-again Christian said she drew her inspiration from her 29-year-old sister Bokang, who is also a virgin.

Thandekiso said when she was in Grade 8, Bokang encouraged her to remain committed to herself and to the godly principles.

"She said, 'I'm in matric, I've never had sex, I've never drank alcohol, I've never smoked ... If I can do it, you can also do it. You have no excuse'."

Thandekiso has been in a relationship but she was not tempted to indulge in sex because her former partner also wanted to wait until marriage. She is currently single and hopes to get married by 30.

"I'm waiting for the one who will understand me and that I will also understand, that I will see God in them and they will also see God in me. I'm looking for a funny person, a person who doesn't take themselves too seriously, somebody who is rooted in the word of God."

Thandekiso has not conformed to the entertainment and media industry standards because she always surrounds herself with friends who have the same mindset.

"I get more compliments than being criticised for who I am. I think the industry is hungry for real people because there's a lot of fake(ness). Even though I don't fit into the normal standards of what the industry requires, I think there are people who value me for being myself and I'm okay with that."

Thandekiso says pureness is in the mind and heart. She started a trend on twitter: #purityispossible.

She has been wearing a purity ring for 10 years as part of her celibacy vow.
