Hundreds brave the rain for Big Sean

The wet weather did nothing to dampen the mood in Newtown where US rapper Big Sean headlined the AXEcess Jozi event.

Big Sean gave a great performance for fans who braved the weather on Saturday to be entertained by their favourite hip hop acts.

“This show was wild as hell! Thanks for knowing every word to every single song n love to the 300k,” the rapper tweeted after his performance on Saturday night.

And although the bad weather threatened to put an end to the night during his performance when a part of the tent collapsed, the show still went on.

“It was so much rain that it fell through the tent on the stage. The machines were breaking n all that. That ain't stop nothing,” Sean tweeted along with a photo of himself performing in the pouring rain.

Big Sean also took some time to introduce his fans to his mother Myra whom he brought with to SA along with other family members.

One comical moment of the night was when the rapper forgot where he was and shouted “What’s up Cape Town” to a crowd of Joburgers.

Other great acts for the night were AKA and Da Les, Reason, Khuli Chana and Teargas who are now working on their solo projects.
