Five rules of healthy living

THERE are, according to Angela Hicks, author of The Five Laws of Healthy Living, five rules to follow to improve your health.

They are:

  • Eat well-proportioned diet. If you eat a balanced diet filled with good quality healthy food, you are likely to keep many illnesses at bay.
  • Keep your emotions in balance. Try to laugh more and worry less.
  • Find a balance between work, rest and exercise. Do none of these to excess, but find time for all three.
  • Protect yourself from the environment. Keep your body comfortable - do not get too cold or too hot.
  • Respect the body and constitution you have received from your parents and look after it.
