Make your own cleaning liquid

HAVE a look at some of the chemicals that go into your average household cleaner and you may wonder how healthy it is to have it in your home.

If you want a "greener" and cheaper household cleaner, mix some vinegar, bicarbonate of soda (bicarb) and water. The smell of vinegar will not stay for long, though it can be quite strong while you are working with the mixture.

You can also use bicarb mixed with water to make a paste, as a stain remover for clothes and other items.
