Reefs are like rainforests

CORAL reefs are like rain forests in the sea.

They are filled with a huge variety of animals.

The ocean currents bring most of the food into the reef.

Plankton is the food that powers the whole reef: small animals eat the plankton, large crustaceans eat these small animals, and so on until predators such as sharks.
