Robbie Williams gets wed

The 'She's The One' singer got married to Ayda Field in an intimate ceremony at his Beverly Hills home at the weekend

Their "bridesmaids" were his eight dogs.

The pair were so determined to keep their nuptials a secret they decided not to risk asking any of their friends to be part of the bridal party, meaning the Take That star also didn't have a best man.

Speaking before the wedding, Ayda said: "Our doggies are taking the bridesmaid roles! I was originally thinking little bow ties for them, but instead they're going to have flower collars".

The couple considered a variety of locations for their nuptials, but decided to marry at home so their pet pooches could be there.

Robbie said in an interview with Britain’s Hello! magazine: "My idea was, 'Yeah, I love you, I'm yours for life, why don't we just pop to Las Vegas and make it official?'

"But then I realised how important the day is to Ayda and that she had a day planned in her head".

Ayda added: "We were thinking of a beach in the Bahamas, but it's hurricane season in August. Then we thought of a surprise sleepover in Santa Monica, but people have children to think about. We feel safe in this house - plus we wanted the doggies to be here".

The James Bond-themed ceremony - which featured a black carpet as the 60 guests walked in - was followed by a lavish reception.

Three meals were served, consisting of the newlyweds' favourite foods, including sushi, steak and red velvet cake.

A Moroccan marquee hosted entertainment for the evening, which included singing by Robbie's dad Pete Conway and a rendition of 'Angels' by the groom.

The wedding ended at 1am with a traditional full English breakfast, with Robbie and Ayda tucking in dressed in new matching pyjamas bearing their initials.

Though the couple exchanged rings, the 36-year-old singer isn't planning to keep his. He explained: "I'm not very comfortable with jewellery and I lose stuff. So I'm thinking of having a tattoo on my wedding finger".
