Kalawa and the wilderness of randoms

SHWASHWI went all out to bid farewell to winter at Vetkuk vs Mahoota vs DJ Pepsi 13th Spring Day Music Explosion last Saturday at Bundu Inn, Pretoria.

Luckily, Shwa was not hungover the next day, thanks to the limited drinks supply at the yearly spring bash hosted by the best of Kalawa DJs.

As you know, Madam Shwa loves being in the midst of groovers, so she took off her heels and rocked to pantsula dance like in the days of Mdu Masilela, Trompies and Thebe.

Kwaito jams took Shwa back in time.

Trompies looked like they were in their 20s again.

The best in kasi rap - Riky Rick, Cassper Nyovest and Maggz - turned it up for the crowd, and Shwa even twerked a bit.

Bumped into Nyoso hitmakers UdU, it looks like they have great potential.

But enough Ms Nice Girl.

Shwa is not happy with how she was treated - she was blocked from hanging out with her fabulous celebrities and left to mingle with a bunch of randoms.

The food was indigestible in the hit-and-miss VIP room. Beverages had to be bought.

To make matters worse, Shwa's eardrums were messed up by Pearl Thusi and her Bonang wannabe style of presenting.

Pearly, honey, sometimes in the wilderness it's not wise to be wild.

Stoan would have been perfect as the only MC for the night.

OMG! How can I forget the dreadful Uhuru's performance? They should just calm down.

And still the drama didn't end. Vocalist Xoli M sang off-key and went all "Dear Diary" on the crowd about the song . How many shooters did you have, dear?

At least no cars were burnt this year.
