Shwa on strictly come sparkling - PHOTOS

BALLROOM dancing is not for everyone, but anything that sparkles gets Shwa excited. She couldn't pass up the opportunity to see pretty dresses and a sparkly show.

The Strictly Come Dancing launch was a lot of fun, a reunion of the old TV stars and a showcase of new batch of celebrities. Never mind that we didn't know many of this year's contestants, thanks to Khanyi Mbau the night was made.

The workaholic all-rounder found herself in pole position, legs spread and balls on her face. When her dance partner lifted her doing a split, it was an awesome moment - until she hit the disco balls. But being the exquisite dancer that she is, she recovered to give a show-stopping performance.

Her boo thang, Tebogo Lerole, was right there to capture her "proud" moment. He looked dapper in a baby blue suit.

A moment of silence for Tema Sebopedi's cakes. The TV star proudly revealed the jaw-dropping size of her behind in a tight-fitting leopard print dress.

Still on booty issues, Boity, we love you, but you need to ease up on the bodybuilding. Girl is looking tougher than a Nissan Hardbody.

Katlego Maboe looked polished and sophisticated, and belted a Nina Simone song like it was made for his voice.

I know Shwa said she loves all that sparkles, and the theme of the event was "Be-dazzled", but Gerry Rantseli Elsdon must have thought it was Cinderella's matric dance. She looked like fairy godmother, there to upstage everyone, with the gloves to boot.

Speaking of mothers, Shwa wants a mom like Rami Chuene, hot and happening. Rami and her daughter had the room jumping as they did a mother and daughter dance sequence. Guga othandayo!

The rest of the event felt like a reunion of golden oldies - Zandi Nhlapo made a showing, and Sthandiwe Kgoroge and Penny Lebyane huddled up in warm clothing. If it's cold, old people should stay in doors. just saying.
