MTN general manger of business risk Lily Zondo is set to hand herself over at the Sandton police station tomorrow.

Police have confirmed that Zondo is sought in relation to allegations of a R300000 extortion case opened by suspended MTN executive Robert Madzonga.

Madzonga, who faces an internal corruption probe at the company, opened the case last month after being approached by two people who allegedly offered to help him make his case "go away".

He was suspended in August over claims that he diverted sponsorship funds for the ICT indaba.

MTN's chief human resources officer Themba Nyathi said: "MTN is aware of an alleged warrant to arrest Ms Zondo. We have no further comment ."
