City lack quality, says coach

Polokwane City coach Luc Eymael wishes that he was in Pitso Mosimane's shoes and no, that has nothing to do with being on the brink of winning the CAF Champions League.

The Belgian feels that his team would be better with more quality players at his disposal. That's where the admiration for Mosimane comes in.

"I don't have 10 players on the bench of the same level, and that's the biggest problem," said Eymael after his side drew 1-1 with Orlando Pirates on Sunday.

This was after one of the team's key players Rodney Ramagalela was forced to come off just before the break after pulling his hamstring and was replaced by Sipho Jembula.

Jembula was one of the culprits in the second half as Polokwane City missed chance after chance and were punished in stoppage time when Tendai Ndoro cancelled out Puleng Tlolane's opener.

Eymael didn't criticise any specific player, but was clear enough that the team could do better with more quality attacking players.

"I cannot make a big rotation like Pitso [Mosimane], because sometimes he can drop five players. It is impossible, and now we are losing Ramagalela. If you lose one, it is okay but if you start to lose three or four players, that will be difficult for Polokwane City. But what can we do?" he said.

Tlolane, meanwhile, said he hoped he will continue to deliver after his wonderful strike against Pirates.

"I didn't play well last season, so this season I want to do better," Tlolane said.
