POLOKWANE City are planning to sustain their winning momentum by adding to Kaizer Chiefs' woes when the two sides meet in the Telkom Knockout at Peter Mokaba Stadium on Saturday night.
The warning comes after City registered their first win in the Absa Premiership when they beat Ajax Cape Town 2-0 at the same venue a fortnight ago.
The victory came after the Limpopo outfit, who are still without a coach following the departure of Duncan Lechesa, had gone four games without a win.
New City's new media officer Patrick Baloyi described the win over the Urban Warriors as a turning point in their quest to finish the season in the top-eight bracket.
"There is no turning back after the victory over Ajax. That win has lifted the spirits in the camp. We want to build on that success going forward. The game against Chiefs will be a tough one, especially after they were defeated by Orlando Pirates in their last match last Tuesday.
"We have been training hard and looking forward to getting another win."
On the issue of employing a coach, Baloyi, a former journalist, said: "Our chairman [Johnny Mogaladi] is working on that issue and there are coaches who have been identified already.
"What I can tell you is that we will definitely have a new coach before our league game against BidVest Wits [on October 23].
"At the moment, Eduardo Schoeler and Bernard Molekoa are in charge of the technical staff. They have been doing a great job so far."
The game could also see new Chiefs recruit Ivan Bukenya making his debut after being offered a two-year deal this week.
Some of the new players signed by City include Tlou Molekwane, Thapelo Tshilo and Prince Hlela.
