Three people were killed in a head-on collision between a bakkie and a BMW on the R55 near Olievenhoutbosch in Centurion south of Pretoria on Saturday night.
One person‚ believed to be 18 years old‚ is in a critical condition after the accident‚ which occurred just before midnight. He was transported to a nearby hospital‚ according to ER24 spokesperson Annine Siddall.
“Unfortunately there was nothing paramedics could do for the driver of the BMW and he was declared dead on the scene.
“Paramedics could also not do anything to help a man and a woman in a bakkie involved in the collision and they were declared dead on the scene‚” Siddal said.
“The exact circumstances surrounding the collision are not yet known‚ but will form part of an investigation‚” she added.
