Calm Slikour takes his relationship to another level

Outspoken rapper Siyabonga "Slikour" Metane is engaged.

Slikour, who is also a keen blogger, has already been on the radio to sing praises of his fianceé, Melissa Wilkinson.

"I use social media wisely. I don't want my woman thinking I do not love her enough because I don't post nice pictures or say nice things about her on Instagram," he said.

Yesterday, the Skwatta Kamp founding member told Sowetan that he has been engaged for seven months.

The couple has been together for three years in total and both of them have five-year-old sons from previous relationships, Slikour said.

Asked if there was a wedding date set, he responded: "I do not have those plans yet. It will happen when it happens."

Metane said that he met Wilkinson while he "had no appetite for women".

He explained that during that period he was going through personal turmoil.

When pressed for more information, he said the topic was "personal" and he would prefer not to discuss it any further.

The emcee was once romantically linked to with TV personalities Bonang Matheba and and Amanda duPont.
