A 23-year-old British backpacker was found dead inside her bungalow on the resort island of Koh Tao in southern Thailand, police said Friday.
Foul play is not suspected as there were no signs of forced entry or struggle, Koh Tao police told dpa.
The woman's body will be transferred to the mainland this weekend for an autopsy to determine the cause of her death.
Koh Tao made headlines in September when two British tourists were murdered there.
Accusations of police incompetence and scapegoatism marred the subsequent investigation, which led to the arrest and indictment of two Myanmar suspects, who are currently awaiting trial.
