Mabanga quits New Age

THE business editor of The New Age newspaper, Thebe Mabanga, has resigned.

Mabanga was appointed business editor in August last year and left The New Age on Friday. Before joining The New Age, Mabanga was business editor of the Mail & Guardian, an economics writer at Business Times and also a parliamentary correspondent for the Financial Mail.

The New Age political editor Charles Molele has also left his position and is believed to be joining the Mail & Guardian.

In May, Henry Jeffreys resigned as editor.

Before the paper was set to launch, five senior staff members resigned, including editor Vuyo Mvoko, deputy editor Karima Brown and opinion and analysis editor Vukani Mde.
