Cops hunt for rapists

FREE State police were yesterday still searching for the rapists of three elderly women in Thabong over the weekend.

A 63-year-old woman was raped on Saturday morning in the presence of her 5-year-old grandchild, spokesperson Constable Tlalanyane Pakela said.

It is suspected the woman's grandson left the house without locking the door. At some stage she realised someone was inside the house when he entered the room where she was sleeping with the child and raped her.

In another attack, an elderly woman was woken by the sound of breaking glass.

A man entered the room, instructed her to keep quiet and raped her .

In the third rape on Sunday morning, a 51-year-old woman was awoken by somebody kicking her door open and was then raped.
