Mine shooting twist

POLICE have arrested mine security guards in the KwaMsane, northern KwaZulu-Natal, fatal shooting on Friday and Saturday mornings

Police spokesperson Captain Thulani Zwane said they were called in to investigate a shooting of security guards by unknown assailants but police found only guns belonging to guards that have been taken for tests.

He said Sbongiseni Ngcobo, 32, Mlungisi Mbambo, 40, Xolani Mdletshe, 28, and Mbusa Khanyile, 40, all died when the gunmen opened fire on them.

Six will appear in the KwaMasane magistrate's court today facing charges of murder and possession of unlicensed firearms and ammunition.
