A new tale out of China is setting the interwebs abuzz. An enterprising young woman has managed to buy herself a house with the help of her twenty love interests.

A person writing under the pseudonym 'Proud Qiaoba' on Chinese blogging platform Tian Ya Yi Du posted a story about a colleague.

The colleague whom Chinese media is referring to as Xiaoli, may have pulled off the greatest feat of 2016.

The blog post went on to describe how Xiaoli managed to convince her 20 boyfriends to each buy her an iphone 7.

Once they each complied she then sold all of the phones to a mobile phone recycling site called Hui Shou Bao for 120,000 Chinese yuan (about £14,500).

Xiaoli then took her money and paid a deposit for a house.

This tale went viral of course and though it impressed some people others were skeptical. This could just be a hoax after all the Internet is famous for them. And also it could be an advertising campaign for the phone recycling site.

It appears the story is true according to bbc.com who approached the phone recycling company to find out if the iphones sales were real.

The phone recycling company verified the sale of the 20 iphones and at the request of the BBC contacted Xiaoli who declined an interview with the British new site.

Her reasons being that the she was being inconvenienced by the attention the story had brought her.
