Selaelo Selota dazzles his fans

Jazz pianist, Selaelo Selota dazzled on Saturday night at ProMusica Theatre in Florida, Johannesburg despite a poor crowd attendance.

Selota, a well-known music producer was performing at the launch of his 5Mill Tour. He said the tour will spread to other provinces next year.

Before the show started Selota told the audience that though the theatre was not full he will give his all. "Even though the theatre was not full I will give my best."

The show was opened by a talented young singer Sizwe  Mashinini from the East Rand. The jazz singer played his piano like the late Moses Molelekwa. Tall and slender like the late muso, Mashinini took the audience down memory lane.

The few minutes he was given by organisers launched him musically.

Shortly, after the budding musician performance, Selota came on stage. As usual he brought vibe and energy on stage. Unlike other performances where his set is predictable, this time it was different.

He began his set with some local standard jazz songs. From then he went to his popular and well-known song and the audience sang along.

One of the few  people who attended the show, Ricky Kathilu said: "Selealo was at his best with an Intimate audiences but forgot to show off his famous six pack to the dismay of the female fans."
By 11am yesterday, about 200 tickets for the second show were sold.
