Heart ops follow accident for Sean Kingston (21)

Says he is now feeling '100 percent' following his near-death experience

Sean Kingston underwent two bouts of emergency open heart surgery for a torn aorta following his jet-ski crash in May.

The 21-year-old singer – who was hospitalised for three weeks following an accident in Miami Beach, which left him with a shattered wrist, broken wrists and water inhalation – was about to be discharged when he felt a "shocking pain" in his chest.

After undergoing a series of tests, he was rushed into the operating room where he was forced to endure two separate sessions of open heart surgery.

He told MTV News: "Then again. They had to go back in for other things."

However, the star's mother admitted she is now banning Sean from his beloved jet-skis.

When asked what she's doing to keep him in line following the accident, she joked: "Selling the jet-skis".

Meanwhile, the 'Beautiful Girls' hitmaker explained he is now feeling "100 percent" following his near-death experience, and is heading to Los Angeles to work on his upcoming third album, with the first single set for release in December.

He added: "I feel 100 per cent. I've been down, I've been in the house coming up with idea. I'm older now. It's going to be a great album."

Sean took over a week after the accident on May 29 to be able to breathe on his own and walk again.
