Cipla Medpro SA secures the largest portion of the government ARV tender valued at around R1.448bn for the next two years.
The pharmaceutical group said the award‚ issued by the Department of Health‚ was a significant improvement of more than 120% on the previous ARV tender which was valued at R633 million‚ from 2010 to 2012.
“With this tender and the previously awarded respiratory tender‚ tender business between the government and Cipla Medpro should exceed R2 billion for the next two years‚” the company said in a JSE SENS announcement.
