CLOTHING trade union Sactwu has struck a pay deal with the Southern African Footwear and Leather Industries Association (Saflia), the union said yesterday.
The dispute, declared by the SA Clothing and Textile Workers' Union (Sactwu) last month, was settled on Thursday, general secretary Andre Kriel said.
"A settlement was reached with the footwear employers, represented by Saflia," Kriel said. "It provides for a 7.75% wage increase with effect from July 1 this year."
