DailyMail reported that the married 44-year-old man from Zhejiang province, China was left stunned after a full medical examination revealed that he had a full set of female reproductive organs as well as a penis - but his pair of XX sex chromosomes made him genetically female.
The patient known as Mr Chen said that he knew something was wrong with him after he found himself constantly feeling fatigued with swollen face and legs and abdominal pain - and constantly found blood in his urine
A spokesman for First People’s Hospital of Yongkang said "he was wearing men's clothes with short hair, so we didn’t think that he would be a female at the beginning’.
A CT scan soon revealed that he had a uterus and ovaries.
Even though the patient appeared to have two types of genitalia, doctors had said that this type of medical case is extremely rare and could not confirm whether he/she was a hermaphrodite or intersex.
