Dlamini-Zuma to receive humanitarian award

The outgoing chair of the African Union Commission‚ Dr Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma‚ is to be honoured with a humanitarian award for leadership.

The award‚ which will be presented to Dlamini Zuma during her final State of the Continent media briefing in Durban on Monday‚ is for her sterling role in realising Agenda 2063.

Agenda 20163 isa described as both a vision and action plan for the African continent. It calls for action to all segments of African society to work together to build a prosperous and united Africa based on shared values and a common destiny.

The award will be presented to Dlamini Zuma by Minister of Communications Faith Muthambi.
