An armed man is at large in the Groenkloof Nature Reserve after allegedly shooting dead his girlfriend, Pretoria police said on Tuesday.
The 46-year-old allegedly shot and killed the 43-year-old woman near the Kloofsig train station on Tuesday morning, Warrant Officer Hero Gambu said.
After the couple argued on Monday evening, she went to sleep at a friend's house in Mamelodi. In the morning, the two friends left for work and took a train to Centurion.
The man was waiting for them at the Kloofsig train station shortly before 07:00. He approached the woman and they started arguing again.
He took out a 9mm pistol, shot her four times, and ran into the nature reserve. She died on the scene. By 11:00, police had still not found him.
