Two Tembisa hijackers jailed for 146 years

Two men were sentenced by the Tembisa Regional Court to a total of 146 years for hijackings and attempted murders.

Edward Khoza and Jack Langa‚ both 29 years old‚ received jail sentences of 96 and 50 years respectively for their crime spree committed between 2011 and 2012 in Tembisa and the surrounding areas.

The police said in a statement this week that Khoza‚ Langa and a third suspect were arrested in 2012 after they were linked to six car hijackings. During two of the hijacking‚ two people were shot.

The third suspect committed suicide‚ according to the police.
